Global think tank for entrepreneurship and innovation

Welcome to the Global Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (GCEI) - The Global think tank for entrepreneurship and innovation at the University of St.Gallen, since 2014.

Entrepreneurship and innovation are inherently intertwined, with entrepreneurship fostering the application of innovation, and innovation providing the foundation for entrepreneurial endeavors. At GCEI, we are dedicated to analyzing and exploring both disciplines in an integrative manner. Our research is at the forefront of these dynamic research fields.

Our dedicated team of scholars has a remarkable track record of publishing influential research in top-tier journals, including A+ journals and FT-50 ranked management journals. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond publications. We actively participate in editorial roles for leading entrepreneurship and management journals and host research talks with renowned speakers. Collaboration with esteemed institutions like ETH Zürich and EPFL is an integral part of our work, such as our professional development series “On Neutral Grounds”.

In the realm of teaching, we offer high-quality entrepreneurship and innovation courses, providing top-notch thesis supervision at all study levels. Our efforts in teaching have been recognized through awards and positive feedback from students. The courses taught by the GCEI team enjoy high interest from the business world and we are very engaged in teaching executives. Our practical engagements with industry and policymakers are extensive.

As we look to the future, the GCEI team remains dedicated to delivering impactful research, exceptional teaching, and practitioner-oriented projects.
